Food for thought at The Future of Food
Last week, we held our first major event in Brazil, The Future of Food. With a full house, and live stream set-up outside, we were overwhelmed by the incredible turnout, and the quality of the ten international keynote speakers and round tables, which covered the latest trends and developments in Agriculture, Permaculture, Machine Learning and more! Thank you to Charles Desmartis, Carrefour Brazil CEO, who introduced the session, as well as Azim Akbaraly for sharing his vision on BNP Paribas's Corporate Social Responsibility.

Fabien Eychenne is the co-founder of We Fab which purpose is to connect the « maker movement » with companies. Through workshops, sprints, rapid prototyping, co-design and collaboration, it aims to go from ideas to prototypes, speed-up processes and change mindset. Prior to that, he was a project manager at the think tank Next Internet Generation Foundation in France.

Hello Tomorrow Hungary to host their event at Millenaris Park
Millenaris Park will host Hello Tomorrow Hungary's international debut event, the "Future of Autonomous & E-Mobility" on the 27th of September, 2018. The Millenaris Park is the largest iconic event venue located at the Buda side of Budapest. The Bulding B was built in 1911-1912 and originally served as the site of the famous Ganz Electrical Works Factory. The rehabilitation of the Ganz area the Millenaris Park, received the "Europa Nostra Prize" in 2002. Don't forget to pre-register for the event!

Environmental Scientist and research enthusiast who is passionate about developing concepts that have meaningful application within society. With over 10 years of experience working on multidisciplinary projects, he has a track-record of achieving great results for academies, large corporations (including Fortune500), startup businesses through R&D and business presentation initiatives. Istvan is the author of several SCI indexed publications and co-founder of Flowl, an early-stage EdTech startup. His mission as the ambassador of HT Hungary Hub is fostering local deep-tech innovation to come to fruition.
Indian Startup Saathi named Grand Winner!
The ten winners of our Global Challenge presented projects with the potential for massive and sustainable impact, and were selected by a jury of scientists, entrepreneurs, investors and industry representatives. Saathi, a social enterprise aiming to create hygiene products that are good for the body, environment, and community, was awarded the Hello Tomorrow BNP Paribas Prize of € 100,000. Saathi manufactures biodegradable sanitary napkins made from banana fibers, a method that makes these crucial hygene products more accessible in disadvantaged communities while also reducing waste. In recognition of its technological innovation and social impact, Saathi Pads was also named the winner of the IMPACT AWARDS, receiving €5,000 from Sycomore Asset Management, a leading player in responsible investing.
StringBio win the Food & Agriculture Track!
Ezhil Subbian, CEO of String Bio, a startup from India, envisions an ecologically sustainable world where everyday products are made of value chains that are circular. They are bringing us one step closer to making that a reality with sustainable, cost-effective and wholesome protein from a novel source. String Bio leverages methane as a source of carbon to manufacture chemicals and animal feed as well as food ingredients. These products address multi-billion dollar markets and they are amongst a handful of companies worldwide, currently the only Asian company, to successfully enable methane based value chain for proteins.
The Future of Mobility - 29th July
The transportation routes of most countries will experience bottlenecks and ultimately fail over the next few decades. The problems are endless in every country: crumbling infrastructure, lack of renewable energy strategies, and urban centres that are buckling under the weight of their commuting residents. In this landscape, autonomous cars, drones, and new modes of transportation are on the verge of completely redesigning cities - not only the way we move, but also how we work and live! The focus of the Hello Tomorrow Bangalore event will be on the future of transportation with emphasis on clean transportation and on India’s ability to leapfrog transport technology.

He developed a resilience-building framework and implemented it in nine countries across the Caribbean, Pacific and Africa. He previously served as an assistant to the former Prime Minister of Malta and to the former Governor of the Central Bank of Malta. Today, JP is the Managing Director of ARQ Economic & Business Intelligence, a boutique advisory forming part of ARQ Group and is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta.

Pakstraw win Pakistan local Startup Challenge!
In partnership with Pakistan Innovation Foundation, HT Pakistan organized a Local Challenge to identify Pakistani deep-tech entrepreneurs using science and technology to solve real-world problems. The Jury members selected the top three winners - congratulations to Pakstraw, who came first place, and runners up Neurostic & Tawanai Solutions! The three winners were sponsored by the French Embassy in Pakistan to come to Paris for the Hello Tomorrow Global Summit and take part in our Global Startup Challenge.

Last September the "Future of Connectivity" event took place in Islamabad in the presence of the French Ambassador to Pakistan, Mrs Martine Dorance as well Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman at Higher Education Commission in Pakistan. Clément is a physicist at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL). He is an engineer and entrepreneur passionate about sciences. Clément develops, among others, quantum, photonics, nano and space technologies. He is active in innovation and tech entrepreneurship, in particular in hardware.
